Bring your watch
closer to shore.

The original Deepblu Cosmiq+ app is no longer working properly. This independent, phone-friendly browser companion was created to help owners continue using their Cosmiq+. The app interface and saved logbook are available offline, and Android users can install it from their browser. 01 — INTRODUCTION

What is Deepblu Cosmiq+ App?

The original Deepblu Cosmiq+ app no longer works properly, so this independent, experimental companion was created to help owners continue using their dive computer. Its interface is designed for phones, works offline for saved data, and can be installed on Android from the browser. Connect directly from a compatible browser to manage settings and retrieve and annotate dive records. It connects directly from a compatible browser; the watch remains the source to verify before any dive.

02 — CAPABILITIES

What you can do

  • Device settingsSet default mode, device clock, units, date display, screen timeout, backlight, eco mode, fresh or salt water, safety factor, gas mix, PPO₂ limit, and scuba/freedive alarms.
  • Dive logbookDownload dive records, review totals, browse dive cards, and inspect depth and temperature profiles.
  • Dive notesAdd site, notes, rating, conditions, equipment, purpose, and wildlife. Fields adapt to scuba or freediving; known values such as gas mix and lowest temperature can be prefilled.
  • Portable exportsExport Subsurface XML, CSV, and raw JSON for use or archiving elsewhere.
  • Optional Drive backupSync dives and notes across devices. Dive records are merged and the newest note edit is kept.
  • Phone-friendly offline appThe interface works well on phones, and saved logbook data is available offline. Android users can install it from their browser. Bluetooth actions still require a connection to the watch; cloud sync requires internet access.
03 — GETTING STARTED

A practical walkthrough

Follow these steps for a first session. You can return to the same workflow whenever you use the app.

  1. Open it on your phoneThe interface is designed for phone use. Android users can install the app from Chrome or another supported browser; the app and saved logbook remain available offline. Bluetooth and Google Drive features need their respective connections.
  2. Prepare a supported browserUse Chrome or Edge on desktop/Android, or Bluefy on iPhone/iPad. Open the app over HTTPS or localhost. Safari does not support the required Web Bluetooth connection.
  3. Wake and connect the watchWake the Cosmiq+, tap Connect, and choose the device from the browser’s Bluetooth picker. Keep the watch nearby while commands run.
  4. Review before changing settingsOpen Settings and choose General, Environment, Scuba, or Freedive. Change only the values you intend to change, then confirm the result shown on screen and verify the watch itself.
  5. Download your divesOpen Logbook and choose Download while connected. Review dive totals and cards; open a dive to inspect the profile and add notes.
  6. Add contextRecord the site, rating, notes, weather, water conditions, entry type, purpose, and relevant equipment. Freedive notes include discipline, suit, weight, and fins; scuba notes include gas, exposure gear, and kit.
  7. Export or syncUse the logbook export options for Subsurface XML, CSV, or JSON. For device-to-device continuity, connect Google Drive from Cloud and use Sync now or automatic sync.
04 — BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Useful details to know

  • This is independent, unofficial software for the Deepblu Cosmiq+. It is not endorsed by Deepblu and uses reverse-engineered device communication.
  • Settings that affect decompression calculations, including safety factor, gas mix, and PPO₂, deserve special care. Confirm every setting on the watch before diving and carry appropriate backup equipment.
  • Bluetooth requires a secure origin (HTTPS) or localhost. The browser may require a user gesture before connecting.
  • The app interface and saved logbook are available offline after loading or installing the app. Dive data is stored locally in the browser. Optional Drive sync requires internet and stores a copy in your own Google Drive.
05 — QUICK ANSWERS

Common questions

Can I use it without connecting the watch?

Yes. Previously saved logbook data and notes remain available in the Logbook tab.

What browser should I use on iPhone?

Bluefy supports Web Bluetooth for this app. Safari does not currently provide the required Web Bluetooth interface.

Where does Google Drive store my data?

The app syncs to the Adam-Dive-Tools/deepblu-cosmiq folder in your own Drive. The access token is held in session storage.
